I am disgruntled about the removal of the roses and the lack of spirit for St Elizabeths Day. St Elizabeth's day is one that is near and dear to my Wartburg experiance and when I heard that the foliage would be removed, I cried! It is too bad that a campus that embraces tradition as much as Wartburg does, would take away such a symbol that is so challenging and nurturing (especially for St Lizzy herself!) concerning my life of leadership and service as a spirited expression of my faith and learning! I am outraged and saddened and would like to see the roses brought back! I feel like a piece of pollen on the leg of a bee, landing only where he lands and now the bee has landed in a place that is cold and dark with no roses! Amen
